1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the GoodTube application and related services (“Service”) operated by Cyberfork (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By creating an account, downloading, or using GoodTube, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create a parent account.

Note: This document is provided for your app and store listings. It is not legal advice. Consider having a qualified lawyer review it before publication.

2. What GoodTube is

GoodTube is a parent-supervised video supervision tool. Parents review and approve or deny YouTube video requests from their children before playback. GoodTube:

  • Is not YouTube, YouTube Kids, or a replacement for YouTube
  • Does not host video content
  • Plays approved videos through YouTube’s embedded player
  • Relies on YouTube and third-party services that we do not control

3. Eligibility and accounts

3.1 Parent accounts

  • Only parents or legal guardians may create and manage accounts.
  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account, including Kid Mode use on paired devices.
  • You may create up to 5 child profiles per parent account.

3.2 Kid Mode

  • Children use Kid Mode through a parent-controlled account, not a separate child login.
  • You are responsible for supervising your child’s use of the Service.
  • You control approvals, channel restrictions, viewing history settings, and device pairing.

3.3 Account security

  • Do not share your password except as needed to configure Kid Mode on a child device you supervise.
  • Use a strong password and enable email verification.
  • Notify us immediately at support@cyberfork.eu if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to bypass parental controls, approval workflows, or security features
  • Abuse the video request system (spam, automated requests, harassment)
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service or YouTube systems
  • Use the Service to expose children to content you know is harmful after approval
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without permission
  • Upload malware or attempt unauthorized access to our systems

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Video content and YouTube

  • You (the parent) decide which videos are approved for your children.
  • We do not guarantee that any YouTube video is safe, accurate, age-appropriate, or free from changes after approval.
  • YouTube content, availability, and policies may change without notice.
  • Your use of YouTube content is subject to YouTube’s Terms of Service.
  • GoodTube uses the YouTube Data API and must comply with Google API Services User Data Policy.

6. Tokens, ads, and Premium

6.1 Free tokens

  • Free accounts receive a limited number of daily tokens to approve or deny video requests.
  • Token rules, limits, and reset times are shown in the app and may change with notice.

6.2 Rewarded advertisements

  • Parents may watch rewarded ads to earn additional tokens or temporary feature access.
  • Ad availability depends on AdMob and your region/device.
  • Ads are intended for parent-mode use.

6.3 Premium subscription

  • Premium may include unlimited approval tokens and additional features.
  • Subscriptions are billed through Google Play or the Apple App Store under their respective terms.
  • Prices, billing cycles, and features are displayed at purchase.
  • Cancellation and refunds are handled by the store where you purchased (Google Play / App Store refund policies apply).
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted Premium access during outages or third-party billing issues.

7. Intellectual property

  • GoodTube name, logo, app design, and original content are owned by Cyberfork or licensors.
  • YouTube, Google, and other trademarks belong to their respective owners.
  • You retain rights to content you submit (e.g. child nicknames). You grant us a license to store and process that data solely to operate the Service.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy and Children’s Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • All inappropriate content will be blocked
  • YouTube videos will remain available or unchanged
  • The Service will meet your specific parenting or safety requirements

GoodTube is a supervision tool, not a substitute for parental judgment and supervision.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CYBERFORK AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR THIRD-PARTY CONTENT (INCLUDING YOUTUBE).

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) EUR 50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cyberfork from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your approval of content for children, or your violation of third-party rights.

12. Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time in Parent Mode → Profile → Delete account.
  • We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk for us or other users, or as required by law.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by nature should survive (disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity) will survive.

13. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. We will post updated Terms with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated in the app or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Latvia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence apply.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Latvia, unless mandatory law requires otherwise for consumers in the EEA/UK.

16. Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement: These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and Children’s Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement.
  • Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
  • No waiver: Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision.
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger or sale.
